Welcome to Part 29 of the series "Dear Future Spouse." It's time to savor the holidays! Great food! Great family memories! A loving God! These are real people who are writing to their future King and Queen. They do not personally know each other, but they are getting to know each other through the letters. Each week, you will find a response to the letter before. So, grab some coffee, tea, or tissue, and enjoy! Tell us what you think!

Dear Future Wife,

I’m pondering, in this moment, about coming home and seeing your beautiful face after a long day of work. In that case, when it comes to my thoughts and views on the current President of The United States of America, and with everything that has been going on in the world these last few months…the best I could describe all of those thoughts is: Unhinged.

It is very clear to me that the current President is out of his arena when it comes to politics. In addition, it’s a very deplorable sign when the President doesn’t even know all the places he is President over. Additionally, there are two KEY components to being President of the U.S.A: 1. Bringing People Together and 2. Making America a better place to reside for all people…yet he isn’t doing either. From trying to dismantle Healthcare to building a wall, it just doesn’t make sense. At this moment there are still people in need in Houston, Puerto Rico, and Louisiana. Flint, Michigan still has the ongoing water crisis. Indeed, there are so many issues that need his attention in this country. His focus seems to be on making the affluent richer while neglecting and negating the issues of the middle and lower class (health care, DACA, as well as changing the narrative on social inequality.)

My heart goes out to those victims in Las Vegas. On the other day, I was having a conversation with one of my castmates, and she stated “Due to the shooting in Las Vegas, I’m scared to bring a child into this world.” She went on to express that murdering and killing are happening more frequently than it ever has. My queen, what would you say to our children if they ever asked you questions on why do people hurt and kill? How tough do you believe it would be for you to tell them?

Continuing, there have been instances in which I have thought about becoming an expatriate. The continent Africa has been on my mind, but I have not thought about a specific country in Africa. Also, I’ve desired to live in France. It would be a tough decision to make, especially if we already have children. We would have to uproot them and leave family behind. What do you think?

In today’s society, we see the roles of men and woman changing. The world’s view on marriage have changed as well. What used to be defined roles for the husband (provider) and wife (cooking, cleaning, and child caring) have switched. We know that now women have had to step up in roles men have went lacking in. I voice this to inquire your thoughts on this matter: What do you believe today’s gender roles should be inside the sanctity of marriage?

In closing, I have enjoyed reading and responding to your letter my queen. Also, I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the questions I have asked you. Have an amazing day my Queen!

Love Always,

Your Future Husband!
