For Him: Part 16

Welcome to Part 16 of the series "Dear Future Spouse." These are real people who are writing to their future King and Queen. They do not personally know each other, but they are getting to know each other through the letters. Each week, you will find a response to the letter before. So, grab some coffee, tea, or tissue, and enjoy! Tell us what you think!

Dear Future Husband,

Have you ever noticed when one subject is on your mind you see it everywhere? Like when you discover a new car you want (I’m currently contemplating a Kia Optima), and it seems like EVERY STREET you drive on you see at least 5 of them? Outside of the car thing that’s how I feel about traveling.

I haven’t traveled recently as much as I used to, but yesterday, I did one of those silly Facebook “what does your profile say about you” quizzes. The quiz was “What is your purpose on earth?”. Rarely, do I like the results and even more rare do I actually share them on my profile, but something was different about this particular survey. It said:

Dear Future SpouseHey there globetrotter, your purpose is to lead other people to God. You are a woman who knows her worth, and you hope to one day travel the world sharing your vision and success with millions of people.

That right there was a sermon, an affirmation, and a prophesy that I fully received. Sometimes, we get so stuck, and we’re so hard on ourselves trying to figure out how we will get to our desired goals; we skip over the preparation stage that we are currently in that will in fact make us successful in achieving them. Moving forward, I aim to have a very flexible plan on how to achieve my goals because I believe new doors will appear that I didn’t even know existed to help me do what I am here to do.

I know this isn’t my usual letter about what our future relationship would look like, but I just had to share the wonderful clarity I received. I know as my future husband you will share in my joys and sorrows, and I certainly pray the former heavily outweighs the latter. One day, instead of coming by this information through letter, you’ll receive a very excitable phone call where I’m probably talking so fast you can hardly keep up. I genuinely look forward to sharing a life with you.

Love always,

Your Future Wife
