Dear Future Husband,
The strangest thing happened today that is still running through my mind. I went to the local mom and pop coffee shop to order the cinnamon roll that I’m completely addicted to. As I’m ready to pay, the cashier told me the gentleman in line ahead of me already took care of my bill. I was bubbling over with excitement as I turned to the huddle of people waiting for their orders to be called and find the man who treated me to such an act of kindness.
I thanked him and told him that was very sweet. Random acts of kindness are a dying deed in our society. He told me that even before I walked through the door, something told him to treat the person in line behind him, after laying eyes on me and seeing how pretty I was, he’s eternally grateful for being obedient to his inner angel. We spoke a few more minutes and exchanged business cards as his order was called. We went our separate ways, but that encounter and his presence lingered with me the rest of the day.
As I was shutting things down at the end of my work day, I received the following email:
Subject: It was Truly A Pleasure
Ms. Deb,
It was truly a pleasure meeting you today at the café. When I got up this morning, I didn’t think I would meet someone who would be in my thoughts all day, however God’s Plan is greater than man’s. I hope you don’t think this is too forward; our brief encounter made me feel like I was reconnecting with an old friend that I haven’t seen in many years. If it’s alright with you, I would like to give you a call this evening.
Love Always,
Very few people I know sign letters “Love Always” which immediately made me think of you. I anxiously await receiving a phone call this evening so I can learn more about this familiar “mystery man.” Part of me feels like it is you; the man I will one day marry. The one I have prayed over for many years and have spent the past 7 months writing to. I’m trying not to get my hopes up, but it’s hard to contain the excitement when you believe you might have met “The One.”
Until the Next Time,
Your Future Queen
