Welcome to Part 8 of the series "Dear Future Spouse." These are real people who are writing to their future King and Queen. They do not personally know each other, but they are getting to know each other through the letters. Each week, you will find a response to the letter before. So, grab some coffee, tea, or tissue, and enjoy! Tell us what you think!
Dear Future Husband,
I hope this letter finds you in good spirits. It brings me great joy and comfort to know someone is praying for me who I haven’t even met yet. This world can be a lonely and sometimes scary place but these letters remind me there is hope and sunshine beyond the clouds.
I’m truly looking forward to learning more about the real you. Some days I question if it’s even meant for me to become a wife until I remember God created me and gave me some of the essential qualities to be a good wife:
- I listen. Sometimes I do get wrapped up from seeing things from my own perspective, but I realize the importance of taking a step back and trying to see things from your perspective. It will be so much more peace in our home in times of conflict.
- I am nurturing. I am currently on a quest to do better about my self care, but I will make sure my family and loved ones have what they need first.
- I am your biggest cheerleader. I want you to know you will always have someone in your corner supporting you and encouraging you. Please don’t assume that I won’t push you to do better when you’re capable though. I am here to help you become the best you possible because it will not only bless our family, but every life you touch will benefit from this.
I would love to know what you believe will make a good wife. I know there’s a difference in being a good wife and being the RIGHT wife for you. I also look forward to hearing your thoughts from my last letter about fears in marriage and your thoughts on separate bank accounts.
Lovely,
Your Future Wife
